Manmade Famine is a letterpress-printed project responding to the ongoing war in Gaza and the use of restricted access to essential resources as a mechanism of control. Created in September 2025, during a period in which blockades and restrictions severely limited the entry of food and humanitarian aid into Gaza City, the poster draws attention to the human consequences of these actions.

Using the physicality and permanence of letterpress printing, the project translates this political crisis into a tangible visual statement. Manmade Famine confronts the deliberate nature of food deprivation and comments on the severity of the actions and policies contributing to the humanitarian crisis.
