Octaves is an editorial publication exploring my personal relationship with the flute through the history and visual language of sheet music. The publication adopts the proportions and format of traditional concert sheet music, using its physical structure as a key part of the concept. Tracing paper overlays introduce layers of information and reference the harmonies and simultaneous musical voices within an orchestra, creating a tactile and layered reading experience.
